Class Description

Learn how to create intricate and advanced quilt block patterns in our Barn Quilt Advance Drawing Class at Blue Ridge Arts Center. Whether you prefer to draw on poster board or paint on ACM in an upcoming class, we’ve got you covered. Choose from point-based patterns, circle based or mixed grid size patterns, using the full set of Talara Parrish's books along with new patterns that haven't been released yet. Unleash your creativity and master the art of advanced quilt block drawing. Scott will assist in showing techniques to help you break down the basics that will apply to any patterns you want to tackle on your own. Or join for multiple classes and take advantage of drawing on AC to paint at home or in the painting classes offered by Blue Ridge Arts Center. Visit www.barnquiltheadquarters.com to select your pattern of choice or come browse through the complete library of barn quilt books authored by Talara Parrish that will be on hand. This class is for pattern drawing only, no painting will be done in this class. It is offered on the 4th Friday of every month (the evening before regularly scheduled barn quilt painting classes). Class begins at 6pm - Snacks and water provided. Class size is limited. Once you register, Scot will contact you directly via email, with a link for payment. Price per barn quilt drawing is $45 Contact Scot to invite to your group or organization or to schedule private painting class, if interested. If a private, one on one class is desired, that is also a possibility with Scot.
