Class Description

A fun filled 3 days! Join us at the beautiful Ponderosa Quilt Retreat in Waynesville, NC. Dates are Mar 2nd - 5th. This charming location is perfect for fun and fellowship & painting barn quilt! Talara Parrish will be the host and instructor for the event. Day 1 will be instruction of the Gingham Check (or Buffalo Plaid) technique and how to incorporate it into you pattern of choice. She will be providing 2x2 aluminum composite and all supplies with one exception. You will need to bring a quilters ruler that is at least 8" in length. The second project will be a Ladder Rack. She will provide you with four 1x1 aluminum composites and you will choose your patterns for these. This is a fun paint social while we enjoy each other's company and creativity. Handcrafted ladder racks will be provided. These will be un-assembled for traveling confidence. Also unfinished so that you may paint or stain to meet your preference. Breakfast will be served as part of the Ponderosa Quilt Retreat BNB. We will announce additional plans for lunch and plan on dinner out as a group at local restaurants in the area. Each person will be responsible for meal expense other than breakfast. Feel free to bring snacks, sweets and preferred drink. Wine is fine. Grazing the snack bar is 1/2 the fun. Space is limited to 8 participants. Refunds are not available but may be applied to a future class. . Price is $465 per person for accommodations & includes ladder rack. Price is $410 per person for accommodations without ladder rack. Check in will be at 3:00 on March 2th and check out at 11.00 on March 5th. Meet and Greet will be at 4:30 pm and we will depart for dinner 6:30pm for a location to be determined. Price includes accommodations, scheduled barn quilt classes, breakfast. Lunch and dinner at each guest expense.
